Explore future carbon supply from EWOOD PGM’s Tiapleu project. We welcome discussions with corporate buyers, traders and carbon funds considering forward offtake, supported by project information and a defined carbon development pathway.
Tiapleu is a reforestation and agroforestry development in Danané, Côte d’Ivoire. The project combines landscape restoration with the development of potential future carbon removals. Our project materials explain the planned activities, delivery arrangements and carbon methodology.
Future credit delivery depends on project implementation, independent assessment and the applicable registration, verification and issuance requirements.
A forward offtake agreement sets out the terms for potential future credit delivery. It can help buyers plan their carbon procurement while supporting project development. It is different from buying credits that have already been issued.
Discussions cover the project, expected delivery periods, volumes, pricing, payment structure and the treatment of delays or shortfalls. Any commitment is subject to due diligence and agreed contractual terms.
First, tell us your procurement objectives and timing. We then share relevant project information for review. Technical and commercial discussions follow, before any agreement is negotiated. Delivery remains subject to the contract and applicable carbon programme requirements.
Buyers need to understand how a project establishes its climate benefit and manages uncertainty. Our carbon project documentation is the basis for reviewing the following questions.
The assessment must establish what would happen without the project and whether the claimed removals are additional to that baseline.
Carbon estimates need a defined methodology, appropriate measurements and transparent assumptions. Uncertainty, project emissions and any relevant leakage must be addressed in the accounting.
Forests require long-term management. Risks such as fire, mortality and changes in land use need to be assessed and managed, alongside the applicable programme’s requirements for addressing reversals.
Project design and reported removals are subject to independent assessment under the applicable standard. A project listing, planting activity or digital record is not itself an issued carbon credit.
Field measurements and geospatial evidence support the assessment of restoration progress. The monitoring plan defines what is collected, how it is checked and how results are reported for independent review.
The Tiapleu project combines reforestation and agroforestry with social and biodiversity objectives. Project documents cover community engagement, local livelihoods, social safeguards and proposed benefit sharing. These materials help buyers assess the wider outcomes alongside the carbon development plan.
EWOOD PGM works with THANRY on project development in Côte d’Ivoire. Prospective partners can review the restoration plan, implementation arrangements and responsibilities through the project information process.
ARR stands for afforestation, reforestation and revegetation. These activities establish or restore vegetation and can remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Any creditable removals must be calculated under the applicable methodology.
VM0047 is a Verra methodology for afforestation, reforestation and revegetation. It sets out requirements for quantifying eligible carbon benefits. Applying a methodology does not itself mean that a project is registered or has issued credits.
This page concerns future carbon supply discussions. A forward agreement is not an issued credit and cannot itself be retired as a carbon credit. Contact our team for current project and availability information.
Issuance follows monitoring, independent verification and the applicable Verra approval process. Planting or project validation alone does not create issued credits. Delivery timing must be assessed against the project’s development schedule.
The applicable methodology and monitoring plan determine the data and calculations required. Field measurements, geospatial information and documented assumptions provide evidence for independent assessment.
Mortality and disturbance can affect removals and delivery. The project must apply the relevant monitoring, risk management and reversal requirements. Any commercial treatment of delayed or reduced delivery is set out in the offtake agreement.
Request the project’s social and benefit-sharing documentation through the information process. This allows you to assess intended outcomes, safeguards and the approach to monitoring progress.
