EWOOD PGM is developing a pipeline of new carbon project areas across West Africa. These future platforms will expand our geographic footprint beyond Tiapleu, targeting varied ecosystems — forests, mangroves, savannas.
Restoration of degraded forest areas in the Ashanti region, in partnership with the Forestry Commission of Ghana. Target: 4,000 ha, ARR methodology under VM0047. Feasibility studies underway since January 2026.
Restoration of degraded coastal mangroves near Conakry. Mangroves present one of the highest carbon storage ratios among tropical ecosystems. Prospecting underway with local partners. Estimated area: 1,500–2,000 ha.
Reforestation of degraded wooded savanna in Grand Cape Mount County. The project will combine ARR reforestation and agroforestry systems to diversify co-benefits. Start planned for 2027 subject to land agreements.
Transition forest zone between dense forest and savanna in the Kenema district. Estimated potential of 3,500 ha. The project will build on the experience gained at Tiapleu to accelerate the deployment of the MRV system.
Presence in multiple countries reduces the political and climate risks associated with a single area. Each platform generates its own independent carbon credit pipeline.
Dense tropical forests, mangroves and savannas offer different sequestration and biodiversity profiles, broadening the credit offering for institutional buyers.
Replicating the Tiapleu community model in new regions amplifies the social impact: local jobs, access to education and capacity building.
